3 Secrets of Great Graphic Design

Graphic design is everywhere from brochures, to video, to social media; we see it every day. There is a lot more to graphic design than most people think. It can be difficult to get the perfect result because it is very subjective. That’s why we wanted to share our three secrets to great graphic design.

Use the right tools. To elevate your brand, you need to use professional tools such as Adobe Creative Suites. These programs give you the freedom to create what you dream up in your mind. The Adobe programs will take some change out of your pocket, but it is worth every penny to have your brand’s image reflected beautifully online among the crowd of social “noise.”

Get to know color and how colors interact with each other and the eye.
Make a style guide so your colors become part of your brand. Use colors that play off each other and serve a purpose in what you are trying to say. You can find several psychology-driven color guides online that will help you cater your design to the feel you want your brand to have.

Have a designer in your corner who has experience, talent, and the eye for design.
Our graphic designer Katie is classically trained and is always expanding her horizons to look at new trends. She is also very efficient with client’s time! When you take the time to hire the right designer who simply gets your brand, you’ll save the time (and money) that would otherwise be spent going through numerous rounds of artwork review.

We have just scratched the surface with these three tips and there is so much to tackle when it comes to executing great graphic design. If you need help implementing eye-catching graphic design, contact us today at info@stokesherzog.com
